Capture CO2 and re-use
The need for Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) will become increasingly crucial as time passes. In the future, to avoid higher CO2 concentration in the atmosphere, less fossil hydrocarbons can be burned, while still products and renewable fuels based on carbon will be needed in society. To limit Green House Gas (GHG) emissions, CO₂ should be captured directly from air, converted, and utilized, which will lead to carbon neutrality/circularity of industries by creating a short CO2 cycle.

A cost-efficient solution
In terms of footprint for capture of CO2 from air DAC is about 15 x more efficient than Enhanced weathering, 150x more efficient than BEECS and more than 400x than Afforestation. When mankind wants to stop using fossil fuels, DAC is likely to be the only solution for creating a short CO2 cycle to produce and use synthetic fuels, for transport, for shipping and for aviation. The SMART-DAC technology consist of a simple unit concept with, importantly, a small amount of (key) equipment items. The scale-up is by numbers, meaning a module standardization towards mass production. We therefore believe our innovative DAC technology has a very low-cost potential!
